## Frequently asked questions

### What is pptGPT?

pptGPT is a browser-based AI presentation editor. Import an existing deck or design file, edit its text and objects, build slides on a template, collaborate with your team, and export for PowerPoint, screen or print.

### Which files can I work with?

pptGPT imports PowerPoint (.pptx), PDF, Figma (.fig), Photoshop (.psd), Illustrator (.ai), SVG and images. Word, Markdown, spreadsheets and data files can also provide material for a project. Import fidelity depends on the source format and its supported features.

### Can Claude or ChatGPT make slides in pptGPT?

Yes. Connect a supported MCP client to your own pptGPT account and authorize it through browser sign-in. Keep pptGPT open in your browser with External assistants enabled while the assistant works. The assistant can find projects and decks, create and edit slides, follow your templates, and check the results.

### Do I need a separate account for my AI agent?

No. The assistant acts for the person who connects it, using that account’s workspace, permissions and credits. Connecting an MCP client does not create an independent agent account or grant it a separate free-credit balance.

### Is pptGPT free, and how do AI credits work?

Full editor access is free, with 10K AI credits granted once on signup and 500 MB of storage. Pro is $8/mo, with 500K AI credits per month, and 5 GB of storage. An external assistant’s own reasoning uses its provider’s plan; tools that call pptGPT’s AI, including image generation, use pptGPT credits.

### Can I report an issue with a screenshot?

Choose Send feedback in the account menu. Capture the current screen or upload a screenshot, optionally preview and include browser diagnostics, and choose whether you permit follow-up contact. The submission records the pptGPT release even when diagnostics are off.
